2024 Massachusetts Pirates Roster
Biography
Offensive lineman Jake Guidone joined the Pirates in January. Guidone most recently worked out with the Green Bay Packers in September after going to rookie minicamp with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent last season.
Guidone, 6’3”, 310 lbs., grew up in Westwood, MA and starred for two academic institutions in New England. As a graduate student at the University of Connecticut, Guidone started all 13 games in 2022 and helped the Huskies to their first bowl game in seven years.
From 2017 through 2001 Guidone played for the Big Green of Dartmouth and was a decorated offensive lineman. As a sophomore he played in all ten games and was twice utilized as a receiver. In several games he was called on to play tight end, primarily as an extra blocker, but against Penn he lined up at receiver. In that contest he caught a four-yard touchdown pass in a 37-14 win. Against Cornell he added a 27- yard touchdown reception in a 35-24 victory.
In his 2019 season as a Junior Guidone earned All-Ivy League Honorable Mention status as Dartmouth won the Ivy League title. Then in 2021 as a fifth-year senior he was named to the Associated Press All-American Third Team and was a Division 1 All-New England and All-Ivy League First Team performer. Guidone was also recognized as a Phil Steele All-Ivy League First Team selection as the Big Green won the Ancient Eight crown again. That season he started all ten games at left guard and was a cornerstone of a line that was one of the most productive in the league. Dartmouth led the Ivy gaining 193.7 yards per game on the ground and added 212.3 more passing. The offensive line enabled two Big Green quarterbacks earn spots on All-Ivy teams for the first time in league history.
