LOWELL, MA – The Massachusetts Pirates have extended its Broadcast agreement with the New England Sports Network (NESN) as the franchise enters its sixth season.

Since 2018, edited Pirates games have aired on NESN, NESN+ and NESN National, but this season, for the first time ever, games will be televised LIVE, beginning on March 29th when the Pirates face the Sioux Falls Storm at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. The live airings will provide the Pirates the ability to elaborate and expand on their previous broadcast efforts, giving fans an even more intimate look into their favorite arena football organization.

The agreement also provides the Pirates an opportunity to air their games on SportsNet Pittsburgh and SportsNet Pittsburgh+, which is the official broadcast network of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins, and is also owned by NESN.

Pirates Founder and President Jawad Yatim takes tremendous pride in the partnership, appreciating the visibility the network provides his football organization.

"We are for New England, by New England and it's only natural we allow our gifted players and staff the opportunity to display their ability and hard work while representing the region as best we can via such a prominent platform. From our very first win, to the fiftieth, NESN has been by our side every step of the way providing Pirates fans an easy and accessible outlet to catch all our exciting action. We are thrilled to continue this relationship."

NESN is owned by the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins, and delivered throughout the six-state New England region and nationally as NESN National. NESN consistently has been one of the top-rated regional sports networks in the country. Innovative and award-winning production are the hallmark of the network.
