Pirates Add Linebackers Bundage and White for 2023

WORCESTER, MA - The Massachusetts Pirates have signed linebackers
Calvin Bundage and
Brendon White for the upcoming season. Both played collegiately for Power Five conference teams, where all conference selections and signed contracts with National Football League teams as undrafted free agents.
Most recently Bundage signed with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League in 2022. In 2021 he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL and went to training camp.
A 6'2", 220 lb. native of Edmond, OK, Bundage was with the Oklahoma State Cowboys from 2016 through 2020. His best season in Stillwater was his senior year when he played in all 11 games and led the team with seven sacks and six quarterback hurries. He recorded three tackles for a loss against West Virginia, a safety vs. Texas Tech, and twice had two sacks in a game. Bundage was named honorable mention All-Big 12 by the coaches and earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors.
Bundage had 148 tackles in his 46 game career at Oklahoma State. He started 21 contests and finished with 100 solo stops, 11.5 sacks, 23 tackles for a loss and 13 quarterback hurries. He also was named honorable mention All-Big 12 by the coaches in 2018.
White, who hails from Powell, OH, went to camp with the New York Jets in 2021 as an undrafted free agent. The 6'2", 225 lb. linebacker began his college career at Ohio State and played his final year of college ball at Rutgers.
A four-star high school recruit, White played for the Buckeyes from 2017 through 2019. His finest season was his sophomore year when he played in ten games, (starting five) made a career-high 46 tackles along with four tackles for loss, an interception and two pass breakups. White was named 2019 Rose Bowl Defensive Most Valuable Player making eight tackles, with two for a loss and an interception on a two-point conversion in win over No. 9 Washington.
White was an all-Big Ten honorable mention selection in 2020 after transferring from Ohio State to Rutgers. Between the two schools he played in a total of 34 games while starting 11. White recorded 105 tackles, two interceptions and a sack.
White's father, William, was a 1987 Ohio State captain and an All-Big Ten defensive back who went on to have an 11-year career in the NFL playing for the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.
