After starting his collegiate career at Kentucky State and Lackawanna Community College, Calhoun (6’-7” 315 lbs.) played his final two seasons at the University of Cincinnati from 2016-2017 appearing in 10 games.
After college, Calhoun drew attention from five professional teams, including three in the National Football League. In 2018 the Paducah, KY native signed as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans. That same year he also was in camp with the Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins.
In 2019, Calhoun, who now makes his home in Germantown, MD, signed contracts with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, the Atlanta Legends of the Alliance of American Football and was included in the XFL player draft pool.
