The Pirates strive to make its players, coaches and other personnel available in a timely and responsible manner to all accredited members of the media.
All requests for working press, radio, television and photo credentials should be submitted in writing by email to [email protected] Please include the name of your organization, type of organization, contact name, email and phone number. Requests must be submitted no later than 48 hours prior to the game. All credentials are non-transferable and any unauthorized use will subject the bearer to ejection from the arena. Credentials must be visible at all times on game days.
The DCU Center Media Entrance is located on the west side of the building. All media MUST show a media credential to gain access through the Media Entrance. No access will be allowed through public doors prior to an hour before each home game.
GAME-DAY INTERVIEW POLICY
All pre-game interview requests must be approved in advance and coordinated through the Public Relations Department. Post-game interviews will take place at the end of the game on the field or the media room at the player and coaches’ discretion. The Pirates medical training area is OFF LIMITS to all media. Visiting team interview requests should be made through the visiting team’s media relations contact.
Coaches and officials rooms are OFF LIMITS to media. Player’s locker rooms will be open 20 minutes after games. For specific inquiries please email [email protected]
Only photographers with approved media credentials will have access to the designated photography locations surrounding the field of play. Limited photography positions are available.
REGULAR SEASON PRACTICES
Unless otherwise notified by the Pirates PR Department, all regular season practice sessions are open to the media. Head Coach Anthony Payton, other members of the coaching staff and players will be available for interviews at the conclusion of each practice. Contact the Pirates Public Relations Department for up-to-date information regarding the team’s practice schedule.
