WORCESTER, MA – The Massachusetts Pirates, Champions of the Indoor Football League, have signed offensive lineman Larry Williams for the 2022 season.

Williams was a consistent presence, starting 12 games for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in 2018. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Green Bay Packers where he took part in their 2019 training camp.

The 6’5” 320 lb. native of Wilmington, NC was recognized as Oklahoma State’s most physical player and best offensive lineman during the first three games of 2017, but an injury ended his season. When Williams was in the lineup, the Cowboys averaged 54 points and 200 rushing yards per game.

In 2016 Williams started five games before suffering an injury. He did recover at the end of the year and dressed for the final game of the season vs. Oklahoma. He returned to the field in OSU’s win over number ten Colorado in the Alamo Bowl.

Williams arrived in Stillwater after transferring from Hutchinson Community College. In 2015 he started in all 11 games and was a First Team NJCAA All-America selection. With Williams leading the way, the Blue Dragons led the Jayhawk Conference and ranked eighth nationally in rushing at 244.8 yards per game. He was also a First-Team KJCCC All-Conference selection.

Prior to playing in Junior College, Williams began his collegiate career at East Carolina University as a redshirt freshman in 2013. In 2014 he played in all 13 games for the Pirates mostly on special teams.
