This time his 27-yard walk-off game winning field goal handed the Frisco Fighters their first loss of the season; 38-37. After both wins Gable was named the IFL’s Special Teams Player of the Week.

Gable missed the final four regular season games due to injury but came back to kick in the Pirates opening round playoff victory against the Bismarck Bucks. In that game he made one of two field goals and was five of six on extra points. Not fully recovered from his injury, Gable, a right-footed kicker, used his left leg on kickoffs to help the Pirates earn their first ever playoff win.
