Marshall (#51) played for the Georgia Bulldogs from 2016-19.

WORCESTER, MA. — Former University of Georgia defensive lineman David Marshall has signed with the Massachusetts Pirates. Marshall spoke with masspiratesfootball.com about the Pirates being his first professional football opportunity.

“I feel excited. I’m ready to play, show my talent, and help this team.”

Pirates president and general manager Jawad Yatim signed Marshall after defensive linemen Willie Yarbary and Youhanna Ghaifan took their talents to The Spring League. Yatim fills an important hole by adding Marshall.

“David is humble, hard working and accountable. Very stout, strong and motivated. We are looking forward to seeing what he can do for us moving forward, glad to have him.”

Marshall (6’3”, 275 lbs.) played defensive end in all four of his seasons for the Bulldogs. He was very durable, suiting up in at least 12 games in three of those four years. Marshall becomes the third Georgia Bulldog on the 2021 Pirate roster, joining offensive lineman Kendall Baker and defensive lineman Toby Johnson. Marshall is a native of Thomaston, Georgia.
