Brown enjoys attending professional football games year-round, including New England Patriots games during the Fall.

As the Massachusetts Pirates get ready to start their 2021 season, we would like to recognize a very special season ticket holder, Michael Brown, from Leominster, Massachusetts. This season will be his first as a season ticket holder for the Pirates. Brown has been a Pirates fan since learning about them in 2019 and stressed that he loves to root for the Worcester team. In addition, he enjoys the Pirates games because of its warmer spring environment and more economically friendly tickets, particularly compared to local NFL teams.

Brown became a season ticket holder of the Pirates because of his excitement about football and being able to root for a local team. More importantly, he works in Worcester as general manager for 10x Self-Storage and is also a part of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was at the Chamber where he ran into Brittany Fuller, the Pirates director of ticket sales. Fuller talked to Brown about the team and offered him a season ticket package, and he loved it. “It was a great opportunity, and I could not have passed it up,” Brown told me.

While Brown has only been to one Pirates game so far, he fell in love with the excitement around the sport and the team when he attended his first game. Specifically, he enjoys that the Pirates season takes place during the off-season of the NFL.

Brown’s favorite part about being a Pirates season ticket holder is the overall package of amenities he receives, specifically all of the Pirates “swag”. His favorite place to sit at the DCU Center is at field level, in the first row. Brown does not have a favorite player on the Pirates, but he did say that he is excited to watch the players the Pirates signed during the offseason and thinks the organization has a lot of talent coming into this year. Brown plans on attending all of the Pirates home games this season and the Massachusetts Pirates look forward to seeing him there!
