After signing with the Massachusetts Pirates in November 2020, defensive lineman Reggie Howard has been scooped up by the Edmonton Football Team of the CFL. The CFL is set to begin its sixty-third season this June after having not played last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Howard joins Edmonton after playing for the XFL’s Los Angeles Wildcats in 2020. He also spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2019. Howard becomes the second signed defensive lineman to depart this off-season for the Pirates, as T.J. Barnes announced his retirement in December 2020. The Pirates now have five defensive linemen under contract for the 2021 season.
