Pirates Front Office Reacts to IFL Move
By: Sam Gordon
The migration to greener pastures has excited members of the front office with new possibilities to explore.
Director of marketing Jesse Heninger spoke for everyone saying how much he is looking forward to the national scale of the IFL and what it means for potential sponsorships.
“To say the entire Pirates Front Office is ecstatic is an overwhelming understatement,” Heninger told masspiratesfootball.com. “The opportunity to showcase our brand and to represent New England on the sport of Indoor Football’s largest stage is an opportunity of a lifetime.”
Including new ticket demographics per director of ticket sales Brittany Fuller.
“We are very excited to participate in the IFL,” Fuller said. “Our ticket holders get to experience new and historic franchises from all over the country. Our new ticket packages, now more than ever, will be worth checking out.”
Director of community outreach Julia Burkhardt is ecstatic about the doors that open for her department with this new partnership.
“I am personally excited that we are now going to be playing on the West Coast as well. There are a lot of Pirates fans that follow along virtually so hopefully they will actually be able to go and see a game event if they aren’t on the east coast,” Burkhardt said. “From an event perspective, it is super exciting to present the community with new stats, league info, etc. Same team, but with a completely new look.”
Assistant Director of Marketing and Director of Group Sales, Adrian Figueroa voiced his enthusiasm for the move on multiple fronts.
“Joining the IFL is obviously an extremely exciting opportunity for the organization. As an organization that strives to be the best of the best, it’s good to join a league that already has established teams and markets,” Figueroa said. “From a marketing aspect, New England is already known as a top sports area so to be able to continue building upon this legacy, we are extremely excited to get started working in the IFL.
Director of operations and internships Brian Andrukonis is just excited for the quality of football going forward.
“We as an organization are looking forward to competing at the highest level of arena football,” Andrukonis said. “Joining the IFL provides us with exciting opportunities both on and off the field. We are looking forward to working with the league and playing football in 2021.”
