The Toledo, Ohio native stayed close to home during his college career playing at The University of Toledo. Norrils was a constant presence in the Rockets lineup appearing in 46 games, starting 36 of them. The 2 time-ALL-MAC selection was nominated for the Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award after missing the entire 2014 campaign with a life-threatening viral infection. In his first game back after being sidelined Norrils registered eight tackles and a career-best three pass breakups, including two in the final two minutes of Toledo’s 16-12 victory over No. 18 ranked Arkansas earning MAC-West defensive player of the week honors. In 2015, the resilient defensive back enjoyed his best year as a Rocket being elected a team captain as well as garnering 1st-Team All-Mac honors. After college Norrils signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers attending mini-camp with the ball club, while most recently spending time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League in 2017.
